During June and July, I am on cria watch. It’s the same as baby watch to those of you who don’t know that a cria is a baby alpaca.
Our first crias expected are from Tomar Leche (true black) and Ariel (white). Both of them bred to Geoffrey (lucky guy) who, up until now, has not had successful breedings. These will be his first “crias on the ground” if all goes well for us.
Geoffrey is a dark rose grey.

Ariel (white) + Geoffrey (dark rose grey) = ??????
Tomar Leche’ has had one previous cria, a girl, ten years ago. She has had difficulties keeping a pregnancy, and so we’ve been tickled pink (we love the color pink) ever since her little bulge appeared.
Ariel’s pregnancy was a planned one, too, and her last cria was Hope. Hope is a light faun color, and Probee is the herdsire.
