Chocolate Chip Cookies - The Best!

Diena's Chocolate Chip Cookies
I've been baking these chocolate chip cookies since 2003, when I got the recipe from my friend Brenda. For our son Kevin's wedding, I baked at least ten dozen of these and froze them for his rehearsal dinner. Trust me, they're really delicious. Don't skimp on ingredients: use real butter, real vanilla, and fresh eggs if you have them.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1 C brown sugar. 1 C sugar. 1 C butter. 2 eggs. 1 tsp vanilla.
3 C flour. 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda. 12 oz chocolate chips (semi sweet)

Cream softened butter and sugars together until fluffy. Beat in eggs. Add vanilla, baking powder and baking soda. Mix. Slowly add flour, mix. Fold in chocolate chips. Bake i preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.

Tips:
In high altitude (like Bicknell, 7200 feet), add another tablespoon of flour.
When you take the cookies out of the oven, they should appear lightly brown around the edges, but not be dark. Have them almost cool completely on the cookie sheet before you take them off and completely cool them on the baking rack.
You can drop the cookie dough with a spoon or gently roll it into a ball if you want. Any way, they'll be delicious.
These cookies are the softer kind of chocolate chip cookies.
