Open Farm Day - September 24th

Come join us for our annual Open Farm Day! We are the nicest and largest alpaca ranch in Wayne County, Utah. Bring your family and have a hands-on educational experience.

Let alpacas eat out of your hand,* take pictures with our lovelies, enter contests, and see the cutest alpaca faces. Try your skill at carding alpaca fleece, and enjoy spinning wheel demonstrations.

How long are alpacas pregnant? How long do they live? Do they have names? What’s the difference between alpacas and llamas? We’ll answer these questions and more. Hand-spun yarns and hand-knit hats will be available for purchase.

*Bags of alpaca grain are $5 a bag.

After our open farm day, take a hike in Capitol Reef National Park and then return to Torrey, Utah. We’ll be revealing to the public Color Country Animal Welfare’s future home of a shelter and doggie day care. This event is open to the public, and for a donation of $20 you can walk the property and enjoy music and food and drinks! 4:30 – 6:30 pm. You’ll definitely want to come and enjoy the music, enjoy the food, and see the location for our shelter. The event is called Give me Shelter!
