Fleece + Firestar
When I began the blending board to rolag adventure, I made the rolags so tight I couldn’t take them off the sticks. I needed M’s big muscles. I’ve figured it out now, so either I’m stronger or I’m taking them off a little looser. Whatever the reason, it’s working.
I’ll be spinning the white “Annie” and hopefully have some lovely yarn drying in the wind in a few hours. Last night, if I had the yarn hanging up, it would have landed in Torrey. Right now, I have no idea why, but it’s barely blowing.
When you come to visit, you’ll notice that it’s usually windy here. I’m used to it, but it may surprise you. This morning, the white plastic chairs on the porch were blown onto the grass. Last night, M had to wear ear plugs to drown out the windy noise.
Ah, I spoke too soon. The wind has picked up to our “normal” amount of wind. Just right, I guess.
On another note, Starlet is “due” on May 12th. I’ve got the cria kit in the kitchen, but it’s no longer on the table. I’ll keep everyone apprised of any updates on her.
